Roseneath

This inner city suburb straddles the hills above Oriental Bay and Evans Bay, with glorious views back to the city or across the harbour to Maupuia.  It offers a wide variety of living options: smaller cottages, Edwardian villas and contemporary apartments; it’s perfect for those wanting to live in one of Wellington’s most up-market and sunny areas.

St Barnabas is the only Anglo-Catholic (‘high Anglican’) church in the lower North Island. It was designed by Joshua Charlesworth (who also designed the Town Hall) and built in 1898.

Roseneath has an excellent primary school, with a strong and very active parent/teachers’ association.
